Helpful Hints for Winter

Keep your headlights clear with car wax!  It contains special water repellants that will prevent messy mixture from staying on your lights.

●Squeak-proof your wipers with rubbing alcohol! Wipe wipers with a cloth saturated with rubbing alcohol or ammonia.

●Ice-proof your windows with vinegar! Fill a spray bottle with three parts vinegar and one part water, spritz it on your windows at night. In the morning, windows will be clear of icy mess. Vinegar contains acetic acid,   which prevents water from freezing!

●De-ice your lock in seconds with hand sanitizer! Put some sanitizer gel on the key and the lock, and the problem’s solved

Top 5 (Diabetes) Super Foods

●Tomatoes – Vitamin C and iron and Vitamin E

●Fish – Salmon, albacore tuna, mackerel, halibut and herring help with both diabetes and the heart (not breaded or deep-fried).

●Whole grains – Pearled barley, oatmeal, breads are high in fiber,.

●Nuts – Now considered good fats, but no more than 1.5 ounces a day.

●Fat-free milk and yogurt – provide calcium and Vitamin D.
